About Us
Crowned Kids Academy (CKA) was organized in September 2018 by Se’Airra Johnson and Juanita.
After renovations and improvements, the program opened in South Bend, in April 2019. The program’s goals are to:

Provide exceptional care for children ages 2 to 12 years of age, regardless of ability and/or background.

Create a safe, happy, loving atmosphere so that each child can develop a positive self-image and a trusting, loving relationship with our staff.

Provide a stimulating environment to encourage lifelong learning through: curriculum, field trips, community resources and family involvement.

Encourage children to develop to their fullest potential: physically, cognitively, socially and emotionally.

Promote independence and self-reliance for lifelong learning.
Crowned Kids Academy is licensed through the state of Indiana. Currently pursing
The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) Standards and Level 1 Paths to Quality Indicators,
as well as the CKA Creative Curriculum is used to guide expectations for the children and instructional practices.
Mission
Crowned Kids Academy mission is to provide a safe, stimulating, and caring environment for children ages 0 to 12 years. Our focus is to encourage educational experience, promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. We are committed to the families we serve, we strive to give parents complete peace of mind, while being seen as a shining example of what a quality childcare center should be. Our professional, educated staff provides a safe and loving atmosphere so each child can develop a positive, healthy self-image.
Vision
The ultimate vision we have for our facility is twofold, and rooted in both the present and the future. For the present, our goal is for parents we serve to feel good about their childcare choice, and that the children are safe, engaged, educated, and loved. And for the future, we want the children we serve to warmly look back at their experience with us, and see it as a cherished part of their childhood

We are completely transparent in our programs and curriculum, we continuously self-assess and look to improve, and we make communication with you a paramount part of the childcare environment. Positive self-esteem, independence, love, and respect for others are encouraged throughout our program.
Outcome Statement
Each child is valued as an individual within the context of their family and community. Individual learning styles are supported through discovery learning that allows children to explore, investigate and problem solve individually and in small groups. Our curriculum is designed to build positive self- esteem and encourage respectful and responsible behavior in all children.
